One of my friends said that Bharti Airtel - Sri Lanka Tariff for postpaid will be 1 rupees for outgoing for other networks. This might be a truth because I checked their indian trarrif and in Kerala their tarrif for outgoing charges [within Kerala area] are 0.49 Indian Rupees.

He also tell that they are going to provide Airtel -Airtel outgoing free. But I do not think he is write.

I checked Airtel Sri Lanka official Web site www.airtel.lk but it is only redirecting to airtel.in [indian official website]. I can not why they still can not start their operation or @least a proper information gateway to hungry sri lankan for cheap mobile solution.

Bharati AirTel is hoping to launch their service to general public after clearing problems with interconnection from the local operators in Sri Lanka. In India they joined with Apple and provide Airtel iPhone 3G launch but with $741 price. But it is a mistake by them self to fixed a such price for $199 Apple iPhone. If they lauch this offer in Sri Lanka propebly @ a cost arround 250 - 300 $ (25000 - 30000 LKR) it will be a super hit and it will help to grab some middle class youth from dialog connections.

But with tax they will find very difficult to supply iPhone 3G @ such cost. Anyway add your comments on this idea and let us make open discussion on this subject.
